Meet through real life, carefully.
DilMate favors public, small-group, member-led meetups. Trust features reduce uncertainty, but no platform can guarantee safety.
Before a meetup
- Meet in a public place and keep the first plan time-boxed.
- Arrange your own transportation and avoid relying on someone you just met.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going and when you expect to return.
- Keep early communication inside DilMate when possible.
- Be cautious if someone pressures you to rush, leave the platform, or change plans suddenly.
Romance scam red flags
Be careful when someone quickly declares intense feelings, avoids meeting in person, claims to be far away, asks for money or gifts, pushes cryptocurrency or investments, requests gift cards or wire transfers, or wants verification codes. Never send money or gifts to someone you have not met in person.
During and after
Leave if a situation feels wrong. You do not need to be polite at the expense of safety. After a meetup, reconnect only when interest is mutual. Use block/report tools if someone ignores boundaries.
Emergency note
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. DilMate moderation is not an emergency-response service.
